Gemstone Groodles are proud members of Rightpaw and National Groodle Association of Australia. They are also proud to have their property and puppy enclosures inspected and approved by a veterinarian. Â
Their aim is to offer high-quality, healthy sound dogs from parents that have been DNA tested clear of known diseases by Orivet and Embark. Hip and Elbow scoring is carried out on every parent dog to offer sound puppies for sale.
Located in the Beaudesert, Queensland region, it is described as the jewel in the Crown of this idyllic rural area, and their puppies grow up in special temperature controlled rooms, and spend their days from 4 weeks old in large grass play pens on the acreage property.
The dogs live with the breeders in their home, not in kennels, and some live with loving guardian families nearby where they are raised and loved as part of the family with guidelines, discipline, and boundaries. Breeding girls will have 2-3 litters, and only one litter per year from their 2nd year.

Can you tell us a bit about your breeding program and how it started?Â
It started 7 years ago when I met a groodle, and it was the most amazing, cute, teddy bear looking, non shedding puppy.
What breeds do you specialize in, and why did you choose them? Miniature Groodles, because of their sweet Golden Retriever temperament, goofiness, non shedding coat, intelligence, love of playing and water.
What qualities do you look for in your breeding dogs?
We choose dogs for their calmess, boldness and coat type
How do you ensure the health and well-being of your breeding dogs and their offspring?
We feed top quality raw food and bones, they get regular exercise and grooming. Also our puppies are handled following the world class Badass Breeder Curriculum, with age appropriate handling from day three.
What sets your breeding program apart from others? We like to do things well! Also I am a perfectionist, and love detail. Having an Admin background, I know how important customer communication is.
Can you describe the typical temperament and personality of the dogs you breed?
They want to be with you, all the time! They are goofy and sleep in weird positions!
How do you socialize and train your puppies before they go to their new homes?
With our adult dogs, walking them down the street in a dog stroller. My staff do week 7 training on a lead around the yard, teaching walking and sitting. Puppies also have a sounds app that is played in their room, as well as music and movies.
What advice do you give to potential dog owners who are considering one of your puppies? Do your research and buy only health tested dogs. Meet the parents and visit the puppies.
How do you match puppies with their new families? We carry out puppy evaluations in week 7, following the Badass Breeder guidelines.
Do you provide support and guidance to new puppy owners after they take their puppy home? Yes, each puppy comes with a personalised, comprehensive folder covering everything buyers need to know. We also offer lifetime support.
Can you share some success stories or testimonials from previous puppy buyers? Some of our puppies have gone on to be therapy and assistance dogs. Buyers have messaged saying their lives have changed so much for the better because of our beautiful sweet dogs.

Are there any specific health tests or certifications that you perform on your breeding dogs?
We DNA test our breeding dogs, as well as Hip and Elbow score them.
How do you handle the sales process, including contracts and guarantees for your puppies?
We send out a Priority Wait List form, where buyers are invited to place a holding deposit. After meeting puppies at 6 weeks, buyers sign a Purchase Agreement, detailing our desexing policy by 12 months of age, and our 2-year health guarantee against genetic disorders.
